Plan a Baby Shower

We have collated and provided you with a few suggestions and free printable files of things we feel will assist in your Baby Shower running smoothly!

Invitations
Here are a few invites you can print off and use.
- Bun in the Oven Invite
- Bibs, Bottles, Nappies & Pins Invite
- Bearly Wait
- Surprise Shower

Or something a bit different...

Ducky Invite
Purchase small rubber ducky's, you can usually get these online from www.hawkin.com
Tie a tag around each duck's neck with the invitation.

Tag message:
To [name] this duck invites you,
friends and fun await to excite you.
We hope to see you on this baby shower date,
Paddle on over, don't hesitate!

Message in a bottle
This invite is as simple as it sounds. An invitation is placed in a baby bottle.
The baby bottle is then addressed and stamped. You can decorative the bottle with ribbon.

Tag message:
We can't keep it bottled up any longer . . .
[Mum's NAME] is having a baby!

Food
If you are planning to serve food and are not 'au fait' with what Mums to be can or more to the point can't eat, we've put a list of things we suggest you avoid (some of which you never consider for a baby shower lunch, but better to be on the safe side!):
- Raw meat/fish such as sushi, seafood, or rare/undercooked beef or poultry
- Raw eggs, or foods containing raw egg, such as Caesar dressing, mayonnaise, homemade ice cream or custard, unpasteurized eggnog, or Hollandaise sauce
- Soft cheese such as blue cheese, feta, Brie, Camembert, and Latin-American soft white cheeses such as queso blanco and queso fresco
- Fish containing accumulated levels of mercury in their fatty tissues such as shark, swordfish, king mackerel, and tilefish

And if you fancy buying some gorgeous baby cupcakes (the edible version) see http://www.sarahlouisekakes.com/
She makes the most beautiful muffins, Decorated with butter cream, a pair of handcrafted Sugar Booties and Sprinkled with edible glitter.
