Flippin Pancakes!
If you're anything like me, and remember its Pancake day that morning whilst doing the school run. You have a packed out day, yet you need to have time to get out the mixing bowl and just whisk up the pancake batter. And apparently flipping a pancake successfully is not as easy as it looks, the right pancake mix, a hot pan, speed and practice are what’s needed... just what you need on a school night!
There's a couple of options, my friend who has four children, makes them pancakes the weekend before, so they can make it a more relaxed event, waking up in there own time, lazing in there PJs, whilst you have time to prepare the mix and the kids can take it in turns to flip, drop, reshape, add all there toppings and eat. If you do this mid morning by the time you've finished it will be lunch time and you can just offer savoury fillings - two meals in one.
Alternatively, cheat... Nip down to your local shop, buy some ready made pancakes, this way all your kiddies can follow there usual routine after school, get changed, homework, tea and pancakes for pudding ... they can still have fun adding there own toppings.
Good luck!
