Baby Shower Games + free downloadable files ready to play!

Before you start, its an idea to have a pen and paper (preferably on a clip board) for each person, this makes it much easier for each person to participate and for you to collect points etc.

Doodle Baby - Give each person a paper and a pen. Have them draw a picture of a baby, but instead of holding the paper on their laps, they have to put it on their heads. The guest of honour judges which picture she likes best or most resembles a baby (usually none!).

Dirty Nappies - You will need: disposable nappies and fillings. If you are seating around a table these could be placed on chairs!
Smear fillings in each nappy, i.e. chocolate spread, coffee (mixed with a little water), mustard, garlic or meat paste.
Each person has to guess what's in there nappy. A mini prize can be given for each correct answer or give them a point and tally up points at the end of the games.

Guess the baby food
- Place opened baby jars on a tray with some spoons. On each jar stick a label and mark it with a number. Each person has to taste the food (or just sell if they prefer (!) and write down each number with there answer. Give points for each correct answer.

Mummy's Tummy - Each person has to guess the size of the guest of honours bump. To do this pass a ball of wool and a pair of scissors around and get each party member to cut a piece that she estimates will fit around the widest part of the bump. At the end mum to be wraps each piece around her waist and bump - the nearest length is the winner.

Baby Names - Write 10 animal names on a sheet of paper, make sure you've got enough copies for each person.
Pass out a copy of this list of animals to each baby shower guest and ask them to write down the correct names of the animal's baby in x minutes. The person with the most correct answers, wins.

Baby Scrabble - We've prepared some cards for you to print off with scrabbled up baby words. Hold the cards up and give your guests x amount of time to unscramble them- the first person to shout out wins.
Files: Baby scrabble cards

Don't Say Baby - When each guest enters the room, give them a 3 x nappy pins and ask them to pin it on their top.
When you're ready to begin the game, tell everyone they can't say the word "baby" for the length of the shower. You could also set a time limit for this game so that people can relax afterwards.
When someone accidentally mentions the word "baby", the first guest who catches them saying it gets to have their nappy pin. Whoever has the most pins at the end of the game wins. This is a great ice breaker and good to do first.

Guess the Baby - When your guests are invited, ask them to bring a baby photo of themselves. Have a notice board or a piece of card ready and stick them onto it, marking each photo with a number. Each guest has to guess which photo belongs to which guest. The person with the most correct answers wins.
